On our recent trip to the Murray we tried three places in Yarrawonga worth mentioning. In order:
1. Lussino's Italian Restaurant
2. The Slug and Lettuce
3. Heritage Bar & Grill
We also had great coffee and cake at the bakery, nice apple scrolls too (it was so good we visited a few times) so that's another place to try if you're ever up that way.
While I wouldn't rate the Heritage as high as the other two, I was overall impressed with the quality of the restaurants in what is basically a country town. Service was excellent everywhere, but then the coffee unfortunately lacked everywhere, so it balanced out.
