Telstra Country Wide Golden Plate Awards

I'm pleased to announce that we will be publishing short reviews of all the finalists for the Telstra Country Wide Golden Plate Awards, plus the winning results.

These awards currently cover the Geelong region and the Mornington Peninsula. They are independently examined by expert food critics, with the renowned Stephen Downes being chief judge.

I'm very impressed with the format of these independent awards, which have the aim of improving the quality of the restaurants in the region. After each visit, the judges fill out a comprehensive report covering all aspects of the experience, and this feedback is given to the entrants at the end of the competition. This is an excellent way for the restaurateurs to get quality advice from independent sources, and serves to raise the bar in the industry as a whole.

So to show our support of the Golden Plate awards Meet Me There is helping to spread the word by publishing some of the comments that the judges make.
